The Achensee region was the first region in Tyrol to qualify as a “vitality region” and is officially entitled to label itself “Tyrol’s First Vitality Region”. All of the villages by Lake Achensee offer special “vitality walking” and “vitality running” routes. A healing mineral oil is produced in the Achensee region and used in a range of different health treatments.
