Travel toll-free via the Achenpass or Bad Tölz!

By train
- Take the train to Jenbach station, then continue by bus*) (see timetable www.vvt.at) or taxi to Lake Achensee.
- Take the train to Tegernsee station, then take a taxi or bus no. 9550 via Kreuth to Achenkirch and Lake Achensee (approx. 35 km). From Tegernsee station to Pertisau: 8.50 am and 2.54 pm. From Pertisau Karwendellift to Tegernsee station: 10.50 am and 4.50 pm. For more information on this bus route, see

- then change to the Achensee cogwheel steam railway to Lake Achensee – the last stop is Seespitz (also a quay for boat trips on the lake). For a detailed timetable, see www.achenseebahn.at
*) The bus from Jenbach to Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau or Steinberg and back is free of charge for all guests if you show the bus driver your confirmation of reservation for accommodation by Lake Achensee. While on holiday, you can also travel by bus for free between the villages of Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau, Steinberg and Wiesing. Your landlord will provide you with your free bus ticket. Guests from Wiesing can get their travel costs reimbursed at the Tourist Office in Wiesing if they purchase a one-week ticket (one-week ticket: Jenbach-Maurach zone) from Wiesing to Maurach.
